THE FREEDOM TO EXPLORE
Discover rooftop camping with room to relax.
The Outwell Bamfield 160 brings a new level of flexibility to vehicle-based adventures. With its wider sleeping area and accommodation for up to three people, it offers additional space for couples who appreciate extra room or smaller families discovering the pleasures of rooftop camping.
Imagine waking to the sounds of the countryside, enjoying breakfast beneath the open sky and setting off to explore somewhere new.
From the rugged landscapes of Scotland to the beautiful coastline of Northumberland, the Bamfield 160 provides a comfortable base for memorable journeys.
DESIGNED AROUND COMFORT
Extra space makes every adventure more enjoyable.
When choosing a rooftop tent, sleeping space can make a considerable difference. The Bamfield 160 offers a wider sleeping platform than the Bamfield 140, creating a more generous environment for relaxing and unwinding.
Its integrated mattress provides a dedicated sleeping surface, while the Skyview roof window brings an extra sense of openness to the interior.
Carefully positioned ventilation features help encourage airflow, contributing to a more pleasant camping environment.
PRACTICAL ENGINEERING
Built for the journey. Designed for the destination.
The Bamfield 160 combines the practical benefits of a folding roof tent with the comfort of a generously sized sleeping area.
When travelling, the tent folds into its packed configuration, allowing you to continue your journey with your camping accommodation carried above the vehicle.
Once at your destination, its folding arrangement and ladder provide access to the elevated sleeping space.

CHOOSING YOUR OUTWELL ROOF TENT
Bamfield 140 or Bamfield 160?
Both Bamfield models offer the appeal of premium folding rooftop camping. The main distinction is the amount of sleeping space available.
The Bamfield 140 is designed for two people, making it an attractive choice for couples and solo travellers who favour a more compact option.
The Bamfield 160 provides additional width and accommodation for up to three people, making it particularly appealing for couples seeking extra space or smaller families.
Both models are in stock and on display at United British Caravans, so you can compare them in person.
Will the Bamfield 160 fit your vehicle?
Before purchasing, it is essential to check your vehicle manufacturer's permitted dynamic roof load and the suitability of your roof bars or roof rack.
The weight of the roof tent and mounting equipment must be within the relevant limits. Not all vehicles or roof mounting systems are suitable.
Always confirm compatibility with your vehicle and roof-bar manufacturers before purchasing or fitting.
